We have spend the past week or so upgrading our Koomohost Network. Our upgrades allow us to fight off the bad guys (hackers) and improve performance for all our customer sites.
Adding another layer of security out in the perimeter (before it hits our network), just gives us that added protection and allows us to sleep better! 🙂 CloudFlare just does it all and really enhances our hosting services.
But the network wasn’t the only thing upgraded, we added SSL or https to each customer site to help secure connections and added a global content delivery network to improve page load times. Also, each site delivers email via Mandrill by Mailchimp.
Mandrill improves messages delivered from your site (e.g. contact form) and allows for better tracking as well as reputation management for your domains.
Imagine, we have CloudFlare (top web security and performance company), Amazon (World’s most powerful, secured cloud), Mandrill for email delivery, and soon to be released Koomohost’s own Email service.
Ahh all in a days or in this case, weeks work. 🙂
P.S. – forgot to mention, we upgraded from MYSQL to MariaDB 10 and to PHP 5.6.
